We start the tour in Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital. After a short visit to the impressive Hassan II Mosque, we drive north along the coast to Rabat, the capital city. Here, we explore the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the peaceful Kasbah of the Oudayas overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. In the afternoon, we continue through green hills to Chefchaouen, the famous blue city in the Rif Mountains. After check-in, you have time to relax or enjoy a calm evening walk in the blue streets.
After breakfast, enjoy free time in Chefchaouen to explore its narrow blue alleys, small shops, and local cafés. This town is known for its relaxed atmosphere and beautiful mountain views. Later, we drive south toward Fes, passing traditional villages and countryside landscapes. We arrive in the afternoon, giving you time to settle into your riad and enjoy a quiet evening inside the ancient city.
Today is dedicated to discovering Fes, the oldest imperial city in Morocco. With a local guide, we explore the UNESCO-listed Fes el-Bali Medina, one of the world’s largest car-free old cities. You will visit Al Quaraouiyine University, the historic tanneries, beautiful madrasas, and lively souks. The day offers a deep look into Moroccan history, religion, and daily life before returning to your riad in the evening.
We leave Fes early and travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is Ifrane, known for its clean streets and European-style architecture. We then continue through the Cedar Forest, where wild monkeys can often be seen. After lunch in Midelt, the landscape slowly changes into desert scenery.
By late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara. You ride a camel across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to reach your desert camp, where you enjoy dinner, Berber music, and a peaceful night under the stars.
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, one of the highlights of the tour. After breakfast, we leave the desert and travel through palm-filled valleys and old kasbah towns. We stop at the dramatic Todra Gorge, with its high canyon walls and river, perfect for a short walk. In the afternoon, we continue to the scenic Dades Valley, famous for its rock formations and winding roads. Dinner and overnight in a traditional hotel or riad.
After breakfast, we drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing Berber villages and oasis landscapes. We visit Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert and home to famous film studios.
Then we explore Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage kasbah used in many international movies. In the afternoon, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying panoramic views before arriving in Marrakech in the evening.
After breakfast, depending on your flight schedule, you will have time to explore Marrakech. You can visit the medina, walk through the colorful souks, see the Koutoubia Mosque, or enjoy the atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fna Square.
