Upon arrival at Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport, you will be welcomed by our team and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, we will explore the highlights of Casablanca, starting with a visit to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in the world, built partly over the Atlantic Ocean.
We will then take a leisurely walk along the Corniche Ain Diab, known for its coastal views and vibrant cafés. The day will conclude with a drive through the modern and colonial parts of the city, including Mohammed V Square, before heading back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we will drive to Rabat, Morocco’s capital and a city rich in history and charm. Our tour begins with a visit to the Royal Palace (Dar al-Makhzen), followed by the Kasbah of the Udayas, an old fortress offering panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. We will then visit the Hassan Tower & Mausoleum of Mohammed V, a historic site that reflects Morocco’s royal heritage. After a stroll through the vibrant Medina and Souks, we will check into our riad or hotel for the night.
After breakfast, we will travel to Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities. Here, we will admire the grandeur of Bab Mansour, the most impressive gate in Morocco, and explore the Heri es-Souani granaries and Royal Stables. We will also visit the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, a sacred site dedicated to the powerful 17th-century ruler.
Our journey then continues to Volubilis, the best-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage site, where we will take a guided tour of the ancient mosaics and structures. In the afternoon, we will drive to Fes, arriving in time for a relaxing evening at our traditional riad.
Today, we will fully immerse ourselves in the magic of Fes, the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco. Our tour starts with the Bou Inania Madrasa, an architectural masterpiece, followed by a visit to the famous Chouara Tannery, where we can witness the traditional leather-dyeing process.
We will then explore the intricate Al-Attarine Madrasa, the historic Nejjarine Fountain, and the Al-Qarawiyyin University, the oldest university in the world. The day will end with a walk through the bustling souks and a breathtaking panoramic view of the city from the Merenid Tombs.
After breakfast, we will leave Fes and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, a picturesque town known as “Little Switzerland” for its European-style architecture. We will also visit Azrou’s cedar forests, home to playful Barbary macaques. Our journey continues to Beni Mellal, a beautiful town surrounded by lush nature, before arriving in Marrakech in the evening. After checking into our riad, we can unwind and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the city.
Our Marrakech exploration begins with a visit to the Koutoubia Mosque, the city’s iconic landmark. We will then explore the Bahia Palace, a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture, followed by a visit to the Saadian Tombs, an exquisite burial site from the 16th century. Next, we will take a stroll through the lush Jardin Majorelle, designed by Yves Saint Laurent.
The afternoon will be spent wandering through the Medina and Souks, where we can shop for spices, textiles, and traditional crafts. As the sun sets, we will experience the electrifying energy of Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, filled with musicians, storytellers, and street performers.
Today, we embark on a day trip to the coastal city of Essaouira, a charming town with whitewashed buildings and blue accents. We will explore the Skala de la Ville, a historic fortress with breathtaking ocean views, and walk through the Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will also visit the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), relax on Essaouira Beach, and enjoy fresh seafood at the port before returning to Marrakech in the evening.
After breakfast, we will take a scenic drive to the Ourika Valley, a breathtaking region in the Atlas Mountains. We will hike to the Setti Fatma waterfalls, visit Berber villages, and experience a traditional Berber market (held on Mondays and Thursdays). The valley offers a refreshing escape from the city’s hustle, with lush landscapes and tranquil rivers. In the evening, we will return to Marrakech for a relaxed night at our riad.
On our last full day, we will have some free time in Marrakech for last-minute shopping or personal exploration. Later, we will drive back to Casablanca, where we can visit the Morocco Mall for some shopping or enjoy a relaxing evening at a beachfront café. This final night in Morocco offers a moment to reflect on the journey before our departure.
After breakfast, we will transfer to Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport for our departure, marking the end of our unforgettable Morocco imperial cities tour.
