Day 1 :

Casablanca - Rabat

Arrival in Casablanca, followed by a brief tour of Morocco’s commercial capital (including a visit from outside the Hassan II Mosque), before departing for Rabat and checking into a hotel.

Visit the Kasbah Odaya (old town), whose stone and lime buildings are adorned with large dark wood doors decorated with nails; the Hassan Tower, which dominates the panorama with its stone inlays; the Mohammed V Mausoleum, which houses the last king’s onyx tomb; and the Mechouar bastions that surround the Royal Palace. Dinner and accommodation in Riad.

Day 2 :

Rabat - Meknes - Volubilis - Fes

This morning, we will leave Rabat for Meknes, which is flanked by the Mamora woodlands. Arrival in Meknes and a tour of the medieval city. The ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis are located 27 kilometers from Meknes, and we will tour the magnificent archeological remains of the Roman era. Following our visit to the holy city of Moulay Idriss, we will travel to Fez. Accommodation in Riad.

Day 3 :

Fes - Guided Visit of the Medina of Marrakech

A guided tour of Fes‘ Medina, the most ancient of the imperial cities, built in 808 and previously the country’s political, religious, and cultural capital. We begin our visit through the Royal Palace’s Golden Door; immediately afterwards, from a higher point of view, we can admire the boundaries that surround the unbelievable and ancient Medina of Fez, where we will later take a walk to experience the thousand feelings afoot that the Medina arouses in every visitor.

We will visit mosques and mederse (old Koranic universities), caravanserais, and religious sites on our way to the Conciatoris neighborhood. Leisure time for lunch (lunch is not included) and then we will continue to the artisans’ district, where they learned their art from the Spanish andalusians, moving the knowledge to Morocco and preserving this art to this day; for this reason, Fez deserves the title of “the artisans’ city”. Accommodation in Riad.

Day 4 :

Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Erfoud - Merzouga Dunes

We will depart from Fes and head towards the Middle Atlas, making our first stop in Ifrane, also known as the “African Switzerland.” The next stop is Azrou, “the rock,” a Berber settlement noted for its handicrafts, carpets, and wooden carvings; we will then continue to Midelt.

The excursion will continue to Tizi Talghemt (also known as the “neck of the cammella”), which is positioned at an elevation of 1907 meters. The relief is stunning, and the mountain is fully “naked.” In the afternoon, we will arrive in Errachidia and proceed along the lush palmetis of the Valley of the Ziz to Erfoud.

Our journey will continue until we reach the magnificent dunes of thin sand of the erg Chebbi, near Merzouga. With the dromedaries, we will penetrate the dunes desert and watch an incredible sunset. It will be a memorable night as we sleep among the dunes in a traditional Berber tent! We can enjoy a nice berber meal, accompanied by the rhythm of the drummers, under a sky never seen before. Accomodation in a tent camp in the Desert.

Day 5 :

Erg-Chebbi - Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley

If you want to get up early, you can watch the dawn from the top of a dune; later, we’ll return to the hotel with the dromedaries for breakfast and a pleasant shower. At this point, it will be time to leave the desert and travel to Rissani, where we will visit the market, which is particularly well-known for donkey exchanges. It’s a one-of-a-kind location where desert residents rush to buy and sell their wares; it’s an intriguing spot to explore.

After that, we will travel to Erfoud to explore the fossil laboratories, which contain rocks that were produced around 380 million years ago. We will continue on to the spectacular Todra Gorges, a popular climbing and trekking destination. We’ll continue along the Dades Valley and the “way of the 1000 kashba” before entering the Valley of the Rose, which produces lotions, soaps, and the famed rose water. We will have lunch in a traditional zone restaurant in the town of Boutghrar; following lunch, we will continue our journey down the Dades Valley, where we will also spend the night. Hotel accommodations.

Valle del Dades - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Hadou - Marrakech

The Kasbah was designed with the traditional architecture that anticipates the “towers merlate.” We will arrive at the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou 30 kilometers from Ouarzazate after crossing a mini-footstep, surrounded by a lovely landscape characterized by straw constructions and a little village in the mountains. We will visit Telouet’s Kasbah and have lunch there. In the afternoon, we will resume our walk, passing through various Berber mountain settlements until arriving at the Atlas.
