This is a 3 days moto KTM tour from Ouarzazate. You will travel through beautiful valleys, small villages, and high mountains. You will visit the famous Rose Valley, the Dades Canyon, and the Todra Gorges.
Next, you will go to the desert town of Merzouga. There, you will see the big sand dunes and enjoy the quiet desert. You will also visit Alnif, a place known for fossils, and Rissani, an old town with lots of history.
The journey continues through sandy tracks and small oases. You will follow a part of the old Paris-Dakar route and pass through places like Ouzina, Tafraout, and the Dinosaur Valley. The tour ends in the desert town of Zagora.
This trip is perfect if you want to see the real desert, meet local people, and enjoy nature. You will sleep in local hotels and eat tasty Moroccan food.
We begin our journey by heading towards the lush palm groves of Skoura, where the mountain adventure begins. Taking an off-the-beaten-track route through secluded Berber villages, we climb to an altitude of 4100 meters.
The journey continues through the beautiful Valley of Roses, eventually leading us to the striking rock formations of the Dades Canyon. Afterward, we drive towards Tinghir to explore the dramatic Todra Gorges.
Overnight stay and dinner will be in a charming local hotel in Tinghir.
After a relaxing breakfast, we hit the road toward Alnif, a scenic route nestled between the Jbel Saghro and Jbel Ougnat mountain ranges. Known for its rich fossil beds, Alnif offers a unique geological experience.
After a lunch break in the town, we continue toward the historic town of Rissani former seat of power and the cradle of Morocco’s royal family.
From here, we head into the vast Sahara, reaching the majestic sand dunes of Erg Chebbi near Merzouga.
Dinner and overnight at a comfortable hotel near the dunes.
Today’s route takes us through some of the most remote and dramatic desert landscapes. After departing Merzouga, we pass through Taouz and pick up the legendary Paris-Dakar route along the Ziz Valley. We visit the tranquil Ouzina Oasis and cross golden dunes to reach the isolated village of Ramlia.
From here, the trail leads us across a dry riverbed (Rheris) and winds through rugged desert hills.
We stop in Tafraout for lunch before continuing across sandy trails and a dried lakebed.
In the vast and arid Dinosaurs Valley, near the Algerian border, you can often spot ancient fossil remains. After crossing a final ridge, we descend toward the desert town of Zagora.
