Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara
Your 5 Days Morocco Tour from Fes to Marrakech starts with an early pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Fes. We begin driving south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is Ifrane, a clean and quiet town known for its European style houses, cold weather, and snow in winter. Because of this, many people call it the “Switzerland of Morocco.”
After that, we visit the cedar forest, home to the famous Barbary monkeys. You will have time to walk around, take photos, and see the monkeys in their natural habitat.
We continue to Midelt, a small town between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains, where you will have free time for lunch. Then we drive through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and enjoy amazing views of the Ziz Valley, known for its long palm groves and beautiful landscapes.
In the afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Here, you will switch to camels and start your ride across the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. On the way, you will stop on a high dune to watch a magical sunset.
After sunset, you continue to your luxury desert camp. Enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber drum music, and a peaceful night under the stars.
Day 2: Explore Merzouga Region – Nomads – Khamlia – Lake – Palm Grove
Wake up early to watch the beautiful sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, you ride camels back to Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting.
Today is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga region. We start with an off-road drive to visit an old eyeliner (kohl) mine. Then we visit a nomad family living in a traditional tent. You will drink Berber tea and learn about their simple and peaceful way of life.
Next, we go to Khamlia village, known for its Gnaoua music. The people here have roots from sub-Saharan Africa. You will enjoy live traditional music and dancing. After that, you have free time for lunch in a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we walk through the palm grove and then visit the wild lake of Merzouga, also called Flamingo Lake, if water is present. In the evening, dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Merzouga.
Day 3: Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
After breakfast, we leave the desert and head to Rissani, the old capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is famous for its traditional market, especially on market days (Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday). You will have time to explore the souk and see local products.
Then we continue to Erfoud, known for fossils. You will visit a fossil workshop and learn how fossil marble is made.
Next, we drive through palm groves to reach the Todra Gorges. These are high red rock cliffs with a river flowing between them. You can walk through the canyon and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful views. Free time for lunch nearby.
In the afternoon, we continue to Dades Valley. On the way, we stop at the famous “Monkey Fingers” rock formations and a viewpoint overlooking the valley. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Dades.
Day 4: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate

On the last day, we visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This old fortified village has appeared in many movies and TV series such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. You will have time to walk through the kasbah and take photos.
Then we drive through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, we stop for lunch and to take pictures of the mountain views.
