We meet you at your hotel or riad in Marrakech and start your Morocco Desert Tour in a very friendly way. We will be driving through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka Pass, which offers a spectacular view of the Berber villages that are built on the mountainsides. There will be a lot of chances for photos and refreshment from which we will stop. Also, you have the liberty to stop at any time if you want.
We then continue to the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the filming location of movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring the ancient mud-brick ksar, enjoy lunch in Ait Ben Haddou or nearby Ouarzazate. In the afternoon, we journey through the palm groves of Skoura and the fragrant Valley of Roses. In spring, the valley is especially beautiful with blooming rose fields.
Our final destination for the day is the Dades Valley, where we’ll visit the striking rock formations known as “monkey fingers” and admire the winding road that snakes through the gorge. You’ll spend the night in a charming local hotel or guesthouse, where you’ll enjoy dinner and a restful overnight stay.

After breakfast at your hotel in the Dades Valley, we’ll begin our day with a scenic drive toward the Todra Gorge. Along the way, you’ll pass Berber villages that reveal the quiet rural charm of southern Morocco. Once we arrive at the Todra Gorge, you’ll have time to walk through its Wonderful canyon walls that reach up to 300 meters high a favorite for photographers and climbers alike.
We continue our journey toward Merzouga, passing through the towns of Tinjdad and Erfoud. In Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops and date palms, you’ll have a chance to learn about local fossils or stop for a refreshing break. As we approach Merzouga, the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi will begin to appear on the horizon a truly magical sight.
Upon arrival, you’ll switch from the 4×4 vehicle to a camel, beginning your sunset camel trek across the dunes. This peaceful ride leads to your desert camp nestled in the heart of Erg Chebbi. At the camp, enjoy traditional mint tea, a warm dinner, and an evening of Berber music under the stars. Drift off to sleep in your private tent surrounded by the silence of the Sahara.

Wake up early to witness a stunning desert sunrise, one of the most beautiful sights in Morocco. After breakfast at the desert camp, we’ll ride camels back to Merzouga, where we’ll hop back into the 4×4 vehicle for the next leg of our journey. Our first stop is the Rissani market, where you can explore the local souks and see traditional Moroccan handicrafts and fresh produce.
After our visit to Rissani, we’ll head towards the Draa Valley. As we drive through the valley, the scenery becomes more picturesque with palm groves, kasbahs, and small Berber villages. We’ll make a stop to take photos of the iconic adobe architecture and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere before arriving in Agdz, a charming town surrounded by lush greenery and old kasbahs. Here, you can unwind at a comfortable hotel or riad, with dinner and a relaxing evening ahead.

After breakfast, we continue our journey to the famous city of Ouarzazate, known for its rich history and film industry. From Ouarzazate, we’ll take a short drive to the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, an iconic ksar (fortified village) that has stood the test of time. It’s one of the most famous landmarks in Morocco and was used as a backdrop for several films. After exploring the site, you can enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before we continue back to Marrakech, where we’ll arrive in the evening, marking the end of your incredible desert journey.
