Tour Highlights :
3 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Itinerary :

Day 1 :

Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

Commence your journey from your accommodation in Marrakech at 8 a.m., heading towards the High Atlas, specifically the Moroccan Atlas mountains, passing through the Tizi N’Tichka . Take breaks to enjoy panoramic views and capture images of the Berber small villages seamlessly blending into the landscape.

Continuing south, reach the ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou, housing the famous Kasbah declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986. This spectacular stage has been featured in renowned films like Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penélope Cruz, among others. Enjoy free time for lunch in town before proceeding to Ouarzazate, also known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” which, in Berber language, means “noiseless or without confusion.” Explore the Taourirt Kasbah, one of the most spectacular ksars in Morocco.

The journey continues to the Rose Valley, passing through the expansive Skoura palm grove, a picturesque place with over 700,000 palms and numerous kasbahs in the surrounding area. The valley is renowned for cultivating damascene roses, used for cosmetic purposes such as the prized rosewater. Annually in May, the Rose Festival takes place, serving as an important cultural event. Finally, reach the Dades Valley, where the night will be spent.

Day 2 :

Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga - Camel Trek and overnight in Berber Camp

The second day of our 3-day Marrakech desert tour starts with a delicious breakfast. Tineghir is our destination, and we stop for a panoramic view of lovely Berber towns and a lush oasis dotted with palm trees. The Toudgha Gorge, a 300-meter-high gorge that we will explore on foot, is only a short distance away.

Our journey continues to Erfoud, passing through the southern Moroccan Berber Bedouin communities, ultimately reaching Merzouga. Here, our camels await us for an expedition into the Erg Chebbi dunes in the Sahara. A stop on a lofty dune allows you to witness the mesmerizing sunset over the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.

As the sun sets, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of refreshing mint tea, delectable food, a lively campfire, a musical gathering, and an overnight stay at the Berber camp in Merzouga.

Day 3 :

Merzouga Dunes - Draa Valley - Anti Atlas Mountains - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

In the early hours of the morning, we embark on a captivating “Date with the sunrise” in the heart of the desert. Rising early becomes a necessity to witness the most breathtaking sunrise atop a dune near the camp. After this mesmerizing experience, we return to Merzouga on camelback, where a delightful breakfast awaits. Energized, we commence our final day’s journey through the arid pre-desertic region, encountering the distinctive “acacia,” a typical tree in these landscapes.

Along the route to the Draa Valley, we make stops to relish the scenic views of the river that lends its name to the valley—the longest river in Morocco, traversing the entire country and extending into Mauritania. Our expedition proceeds towards Ouarzazate, passing through the Anti Atlas. Enjoy some leisure time for lunch in the town, and in the afternoon, we resume our journey back to Marrakech, anticipating arrival around 8 p.m. Transfer to the hotel marks the conclusion of our services.
