9 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech Itinerary :
Day 1 :
Arrive in Marrakech - Transfer to your accommodation.
Morocco Golden Tours driver/Guide will pick you up from Menara airport in Marrakech depends on your flight time. Then, Transfer you to the Riad / Hotel in Marrakech Medina, where you will spend the 1st Night.
Day 2 :
Marrakech - Casablanca - Rabat.
We’ll start our journey by We will pick you up from your Riad and travel to Rabat, stopping in Casablanca to see the Hassan II Mosque and have a panoramic tour of the city and its various neighborhoods. After lunch, we will travel to Rabat, Morocco’s capital. Take a city tour that involves driving around the Royal Palace walls and visiting the Mausoleums of Mohammad V and Hassan II, two emperors who collaborated with the Jewish community. Take a guided tour of the Old Walled City and the magnificent Kasbah des Oudayas. Overnight stay at a Riad or Hotel in Rabat.
Day 3 :
Rabat - Chefchaouen.
During our 9 days Morocco trip, after breakfast at your Riad, we will drive to Chefchaouen over the Rif Mountains. We will arrive in Chefchaouen in the afternoon, and you will have free time to explore this beautiful town before spending the night in your riad overlooking the Rif Mountains.
Day 4 :
Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fez.
After a delicious breakfast in the riad, our 9 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech begins with a crossing through Ouazan and other Rif settlements to Volubilis. In Volubilis, we will explore Roman ruins and learn about Moroccan history. Then we’ll drive to Meknes (a 17th-century heritage city), where we’ll have lunch, see the medina’s medieval walls, bab el Mansour, and visit Moulay Ismail Greenery. Later in the afternoon, we will travel to Fes city, where you will spend the night.
Day 5 :
Visit Fes on a Guided day Tour.
This full-day tour to Fes will allow you to explore Morocco’s cultural metropolis. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, also known as Fes el Bali, dates back to the ninth century and is home to the world’s oldest university. Fes reached its economic and cultural peak during the Merinids in the 13th-14th centuries, when it superseded Marrakech as the kingdom’s capital.
Although Morocco’s governmental capital was moved to Rabat in 1912, Fes has maintained its role as the country’s artisan center. Artisan workshops in the medina remain as active now as they were 100 years ago, contributing significantly to the city’s industrial sector. These workshops continue to practice trades such as blacksmithing, leatherworking, pottery, silk, tapestries, and sculpting. The ancient city, with its estimated 9000 small alleys and lively streets, is still protected by its original ramparts.
Day 6 :
Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Ziz valley - Merzouga desert
In the day 6, we will go from Fes to Merzouga Desert, passing via the Middle Atlas Mountains. The first stop on our route to the Sahara desert will be in “Ifrane,” often known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” There, you may experience Ifrane’s breathtaking vistas and forest. After that, we’ll stop in “Azrou” to visit the monkeys in the cedar forest (Barbary Macaque). We’ll have time to take pictures with monkeys on the route.
Later, we will travel to the Sahara desert, passing via the “Tizi n’Talghamt pass” to reach the “Errachidia” city while admiring the views of the Ziz Gorges. Furthermore, we will have free time to photograph and remember memorable moments amid the panoramic vistas of “Ziz valley“. Our journey continues to Merzouga Erg Chebbi via Tafilalte Oasis “Aoufous” and “Erfoud” (known for its fossil museums and dates). We’ll pay a visit to a local fossil craft workshop.
We will reach at the Merzouga Sahara desert before sunset, for about two or three hours. You will have an unforgettable experience here. Begin by riding camels into the Erg Chebbi sand dunes to reach our real Berber desert camp, Merzouga. The camel ride adventure lasts around 1:30 hours, with a pause on top of the dune to enjoy the breathtaking views of the sunset, try sandboarding (optional), appreciate the vistas, and take memorable photos.
Day 7 :
Merzouga desert - Rissani - Todra valley & Gorge - Dades Valley.
The next day, you’ll get up early to witness a spectacular sunrise over Merzouga erg Chebbi. After breakfast and a shower in the desert camp, we will transport you back to Merzouga Village either camel trekking or 4WD (your choice). Then we’ll drive to Rissani to visit a fossil museum and go around the typical market. Subsequently, our 9 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech takes us past various Berber and Arabic villages, including Mellab, Tinjdad, and Jourf, which is known for the wells of a historic irrigation system. We’ll make a stop there to visit this attraction. Lunch will be in Mellab or Tinjdad (optional).

The next stop will be Ouarzazate, where we will pay a brief visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt before continuing 27 kilometers to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It has served as a backdrop for several Hollywood films, including “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Gladiator,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” “Prince of Persia,” and others. Kasbahs (fortresses) exhibit exotic Moroccan architecture and traditions.
After exploring the kasbah, we will go a little further via the High Atlas Mountains via the “Tichka pass” to Marrakech.
Day 9 :
Visit Marrakech with local Guide - Transfer to the Airport.
Today marks an exceptional day to delve into the wonders of Marrakech, beginning with the majestic Koutoubia Mosque, Marrakesh’s largest, renowned for its striking minaret—one of the three remaining Almohad minarets globally. Towering at 69 meters, it offers a panoramic view of the city. The journey continues to the ornate Saadian tombs, a peaceful kasbah mausoleum adorned with vibrant tiles and intricate carvings.
The bustling Jemaa El Fna square, a hub of local cuisine and live performances, is next, transforming into a vibrant open-air dining venue at night. The tour culminates at the Bahia Palace, an architectural marvel blending Andalusian and Moorish styles, famous for its historical significance and as a film location, including “Lawrence of Arabia.” This UNESCO World Heritage Site exemplifies the grandeur of Marrakech.
